What you agree to when you use the dose platform, who can use it, and the limits of what a technology platform can provide.

The short version. dose is a technology platform. It connects you with independently licensed clinicians and with a licensed pharmacy; it does not practice medicine and it does not dispense medication. A clinician decides on their own whether prescription treatment is appropriate for you, and paying for a review does not entitle you to a prescription.
This summary is not the agreement. Where the two differ, the numbered sections govern. Sections 12, 13 and 14 are unwritten placeholders and have to be drafted by counsel before this page is published.

Acceptance of these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name to be confirmed] (“dose”, “we”, “us”). They apply each time you visit this site, create an account, complete an assessment, or use any other part of the dose platform.
If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform. Section 15 explains how these terms change and how you will be told about it.

Who can use dose
You need to be at least 18 years old and physically located in a US state where dose operates. You will be asked to confirm your age, your state and your identity during the assessment.
Availability differs by state, because clinicians are licensed state by state. If dose is not yet available where you live, the assessment will tell you at that point.
Please do not use the platform on behalf of someone else, and do not create an account for another person.

What dose is, and what it is not
dose is a technology platform. It connects you with independently licensed clinicians and with a licensed dispensing pharmacy. dose does not practice medicine, does not employ the clinicians who review your assessment, and does not dispense medication.
Using this site does not create a doctor–patient relationship with dose. If a clinical relationship is formed, it is between you and the clinician who reviews your case.
dose is not emergency care. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

The clinical services
Your assessment is reviewed by a clinician licensed in your state. That clinician decides independently whether treatment is appropriate for you, what it would be, and whether to continue it.
Prescription treatment is provided only if it is clinically appropriate. Paying for a consultation or a plan does not entitle you to a prescription, to a particular medication, or to a particular strength, and a clinician may decline to prescribe.
Individual results and treatment plans vary.

Medication and the dispensing pharmacy
If a prescription is issued, it goes to a licensed pharmacy, which dispenses and ships the medication. The pharmacy, not dose, is responsible for dispensing.
Where a treatment is a patient-specific compounded medication, that medication is not FDA-approved and is not the same product as an FDA-approved branded medication. Which of the two applies to you is stated before you are asked to confirm anything.

Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us, and for keeping your sign-in details private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used in a way that breaks these terms or puts anyone at risk.

Fees, billing and renewals
The price of each plan, what it includes, and how often it renews are shown before you are asked to pay. Where consultation fees and medication costs are separate, they are stated separately.
Plans renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout, until you cancel.

Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not by itself cancel a prescription, or a shipment that is already on its way.
Refunds are handled under the dose refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the platform. That includes giving false information in an assessment, trying to obtain a prescription for someone else, reselling or sharing medication, interfering with the security of the site, or scraping its content.
We may restrict or withdraw access if any of that happens.

Content and intellectual property
The dose name, the wordmark, the design of this site and its text and images belong to us or to our licensors. You are welcome to read and print pages for your own personal use. Anything else needs our written permission.

Third-party services
Parts of the platform rely on other companies — payment processing, identity checks, laboratory work, scheduling and shipping among them. Their own terms govern what they do, and we point to those terms where they are relevant.
We are not responsible for the content of sites we link to.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Nothing written here will limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we post the new version here and update the effective date at the top of the page.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect and, where we are required to, ask you to accept it before you carry on.
